TQUK Essential Teaching Assistant Programme Certificate
As a Teaching Assistant you are responsible for carrying out practical and administrative tasks, and you are required to work under the direction of the class Teacher in the supervision and support of pupils’ learning. In doing this you are helping to make more time available for the teacher to teach on a daily basis. This course will enable you to work with children between the ages of 5-19 years covering both Primary and Secondary schools.

Classroom assistants work under the direction and supervision of teachers in order to help promote effective learning and teaching usually for children that may encounter learning difficulties. They carry out tasks delegated to them by the teacher in order to work with children on both a 1-2-1 basis and also taking small groups to support learning.

Our TQUK Teaching Assistant ETAP Course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about becoming a Teaching Assistant and anyone that has a keen interest in the subject, plus an intention to progress a career.
Assessments are a great way of checking your progress allowing you to apply your learning to real-world situations. Through the Teaching Assistant ETAP Course , you will be assessed by a series of written assignments, which are submitted to and marked by your tutor.
All assignments are set by The Learning College Group. Upon verification of the activities, exercises and assignments, a certificate of achievement will be awarded by the college, as confirmation that your written work has met all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for the course.
Please note: There is no examination required for this course.
Study Hours are an approximate figure and are dependent upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. You should allow enough time to complete assignments/ question papers to ensure satisfactory outcomes are met.

Certification is: £65.00 upon completion of your course and is ordered from the Awarding body TQUK. Please allow up to 4 weeks for them to arrive.
This course is designed for people who either are, or wish to become, a teaching assistant.
You will have access to a tutor, via email, who will mark your work and guide you through the course to help you prepare for your assignments. You will be provided with all course materials along with ‘Podcast’ lessons in order to be guided through your course content. The podcast lessons enable you to watch your tutor and hear your tutor as you complete each unit. Full tutor support is offered throughout the course to ensure your learning outcomes are met to a satisfactory standard.
